Lyuba Sardanova - (click here for artist Bio)
Lyuba Sardanova was born on May 4, 1978, in Sofia, Bulgaria. She completed her studies at the National Academy of Arts in Sofia, Bulgaria, obtaining a Masters Degree in Mural Painting. Ms. Sardanova has completed a number of works using various techniques and materials—e.g., fresco, vitrage, sculpture, illustrations, and design. She also has gained experience working in an art gallery. Ms. Sardanova regularly takes part in group artistic exhibitions in Bulgaria, Germany, Italy, and the USA. Her works are to be found in various Galleries and private collections in these countries.

Boriana Zaneva - (click here for artist Bio)
Boriana Zaneva combines interests bridging across disciplines to develop innovative endeavors. She is an emerging Boston based artist and an experienced children's educator.
Boriana currently coordinates a positive approach literacy program in Boston Public Schools through the non-profit organization Everybody Wins Metro Boston. She is also academic director for the Bulgarian School in Boston, where she has taught over eight years literature, language and cultural studies. In 2006 Boriana joined Jardin Galerie, a New York City gallery, in their efforts to showcase children's art from around the world. She believes in the importance of art in children's development, communication and education.
Boriana develops and teaches exclusive art and creativity classes, some of which at the Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston, and summer art camps in Bulgaria. She also develops creative initiatives that connect the Bulgarian youth abroad in a global network.
In her artistic endeavors she uses oil painting, photography, installation, and writing to explore social and cultural issues, along with the pure and playful joy of life. In the beginning of the decade Boriana worked as a creative director in the advertising field in Sofia, Bulgaria, edited for traditional media and creative writers in the United States and Bulgaria, and co-curated an independent project for exhibiting art in untraditional spaces in Frankfurt, Germany.
Boriana studied English Philology and Theatre at the Plovdiv University in Bulgaria (1997), followed by a B.A. in Journalism/Mass Communication, and Political Science/International Relations at the American University in Bulgaria (2000). Over the last four years she enriches her education with psychology classes at Harvard University and art classes the School of Museum of Fine Arts.

Plamen Hristov - (click here for artist Bio)
Plamen Hristov was born on May 17, 1956 in Kazanlak Bulgaria. The city is known for its ancient history and old traditions in art and music which has inspired his talent and growth as an artist. He holds a Master degree in Engineering and has worked for many years as a Mechanical Engineer. He has never stopped loving art and it has always been an important part of his life. He has participated in several solo and group exhibitions, owning more than 120 paintings.
Since 2001 he has lived and worked in the US. His current town is Billerica, MA. During the last ten years he has improved his technique and developed new skills that have made his paintings more colorful and impressing. His paintings portray a combination of color, imagination, and his philosophical vision of the world in an abstract way.

Nelly Tonchev-Nelinda (click here for artist Bio)
Nelly Tonchev-Nelinda lives and works near Boston, MA. She freelances as a graphic designer and is a co-owner of Graphic Design Studio. The studio provides graphic and web design solutions. Her work contains award winning designs and some of her paintings were selected for front cover on prestigious magazines. She finished School of Applied Arts Major: Woodcarving in Bulgaria and holds BS from UMASS and Master Degree from Suffolk University Boston.
Artist’s statement: “When I paint it is mostly from memories and feelings which are transformed expressively through color and line. Whether it is through abstract expressionism or figurative painting, I often return to my favorite subjects in order to explore the expressive possibilities of a theme. My artistic interests include the female figure, Bulgarian folklore tales, and the natural world interpreted trough my eyes.” Most recently, her medium of choice is acrylics on canvas. She has an innate ability to capture the expressive mood of the moment highlighted by her fine attention to detail and sensitive line and color.

Kremena Stephanova - (click here for artist Bio)
Kremena Stephanova is very talated young arist. She is 20 years old. Kremena was born in Bulgaria and moved to the US when she was 8th. She is currently a sophomore at Massachusetts College of Art and Design, majoring in printmaking.
Kremena received two honorable mention awards, one during my sophomore year in high school, and the other during junior year from the Boston Scholastics, a contest organized by the Boston Globe.
During the summer of 2008 she attended the Fine Art Pre-College program at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh."

Georgi Petrov was born in Dobrich, Bulgaria and currently lives and works in Sofia. He graduated from the Technical University of Forests, and he earned MA in Art Management from the Academy of Music, Dance and Visual Arts in the town of Plovdiv, Bulgaria. He owns an art gallery in the town of Dobrich.
With the help of internet technology, Georgi Petrov has had the chance to share his artistic vision online with friends and fans around the world “winning their admirations in a virtual space”. His notoriety has now brought him to New Brunswick where viewers may experience his paintings face to face. The “universal code of Love” is the driving force behind this body of work, appealing to every audience class. He explores the emotion through painterly gestures and vibrant colors, using both abstract and representational methods as a vehicle. His abstract pieces often utilize a limited palette of warm tones and fast, energetic brushstrokes that lend themselves to an overall sense of passion. His realist pieces, drawing inspiration from images of his hometown in Bulgaria, communicate a true sense of peace and belonging reflecting images from nature.
